DO YOU KNOW HOW SABUDANA IS MADE?
Sabudana (Sago) is a staple
food in many countries, like India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, and other countries too. Basically, Sago is a rich source of energy and provides a cooling effect
to our body.
Before knowing the health
benefits, let us first know how it is made.
- Sabudana (Sago) is made from the roots of Tapioca
- Tapioca roots are washed with water to remove mud and dust.
- The outer skin and the inner thick skin are removed using peeling machine or manual peeling.
- Then, the tapioca roots are checked for any abnormalities.
- Tapioca roots are crushed to extract the pulp, from which the raw starch milk is extracted further.
- The starch milk is converted to small globules, which are then roasted or boiled and then dried.
- The dried Sabudana pearls are then passed through sieves to collect uniform sized pearls and remove any powder.
Sri Varalakshmi Company offers Varalakshmi Sabudana,
which stands apart from other brands, because of its quality manufacturing
process. The process of peeling the Tapioca makes it unique. Both the outer and
inner skin are removed properly, which renders the final product with desirable
color and free of chemicals.
